Our Mission & Vision
Our Vision
To build a global network where medical, nursing, and pharmacy students have seamless access to high-quality research training, real mentorship, and an inclusive scientific community—democratizing medical evidence synthesis regardless of geography or institutional funding.
Our Mission
Research Junction Institute bridges the gap between raw curiosity and published medical science. We equip early-career healthcare professionals with advanced methodologies—such as systematic reviews and meta-analyses—fostering academic collaboration and empowering them to drive evidence-based improvements in global public health.
“Because where you train shouldn't determine whether you can do world-class research.”
Our Values
Community
We cultivate a global ecosystem of Junction Fellows—students, clinicians, and mentors—who share knowledge, lower barriers to entry, and lift each other up across borders.
Impact
We focus on measurable research outputs. We do not just teach theory; we actively collaborate with medical students to transform genuine clinical questions into high-yield, peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Sandra Bakare, MD, MBA
Founder, Research Junction Institute
Dr. Sandra Bakare is a medical doctor and healthcare strategist with a passion for building systems that give the next generation of researchers the tools she wishes had existed.
Sandra graduated from Ternopil National Medical University, Ukraine, in 2020. During those years, she watched something that stayed with her: brilliant, curious medical students with genuine research questions and no one to ask—not because the answers didn't exist, but because the pathways simply weren't built for students like them.
After completing her MBA in Healthcare Management and Leadership from Ashland University, Sandra went looking for solutions. What she found was discouraging—expensive courses that overpromised, programmes that underdelivered, and in many cases, nothing at all. Sandra enrolled in one herself and walked away having learned nothing.
That experience didn't discourage her. It confirmed exactly what needed to be built.
Research Junction was founded on a simple but urgent belief: medical, nursing, and pharmacy students deserve access to quality research education, real mentorship, and a global community that takes their curiosity seriously—regardless of where they train or what they can afford.
Sandra built Research Junction not as a product, but as the organisation she needed and never had.
